Made in the USA — Inside Our Water Filtration Factory

CNC‑precision, AB‑1953 lead‑free components. Since 1994.

Welcome to AlkaVida. This video was filmed on our production floor where CNC machines cut faucet parts from U.S.‑sourced metals to meet AB‑1953 lead‑free requirements. We pair long‑serving, legacy machines with the latest equipment to bring new ideas to life in the water filtration space — all under one roof in California.

  • In‑house CNC machining for faucet components.
  • AB‑1953 compliant processes using U.S.‑sourced materials.
  • Injection molding for filters and durable housings.
  • Operating since 1994

Our products are used worldwide — including in Australia, Japan, and the Middle East — spanning drinking water systems, shower filters, and compatible housings. The same focus you see here on precision and reliability is what you’ll find in every AlkaVida faucet and filter we ship.

How the 2011D Connects to Two Tanks

Dedicated lines for RO water and alkaline mineral water feed the two handles of the 2011D faucet.

Connection Map

  • RO line → RO tank → Faucet (RO handle). From the RO membrane/manifold, permeate fills the RO storage tank. A 1/4″ line runs from the tank outlet to the faucet’s RO inlet.
  • Alkaline line → Alkaline tank → Post‑filter → Faucet (Alkaline handle). The alkaline stage feeds the alkaline storage tank. A 1/4″ line returns from that tank, passes through the alkaline post‑filter, then into the faucet’s alkaline inlet.
  • Each handle is independent. Two separate inlets on the 2011D keep RO and alkaline paths isolated all the way to the spout outlets.

Install Sequence (summary)

  • Mount the 2011D in a standard ½″ shank opening; tighten hardware and align spout.
  • Route a 1/4″ line from the RO tank outlet to the faucet’s RO inlet. Verify check valves/flow switch are oriented per the RO manifold.
  • Route a 1/4″ line from the alkaline tank outlet through the alkaline post‑filter to the faucet’s alkaline inlet.
  • Connect feed (red) and drain (black) on the RO system per manufacturer diagram; drain clamp installs before the trap.
  • Pressurize, check for leaks, and flush lines. Label handles if desired (RO / Alkaline).

Professional plumber installation required. Air‑gap option available where mandated. Use cold lines only. Tanks sold separately.

2011D Faucet — FAQs

Answers about installation, compatibility with RO/alkaline tanks, dimensions, finishes, and upkeep for the AlkaRO™ 2011D dual‑handle drinking water faucet.

What does the 2011D faucet do?

It’s a dual‑handle, dual‑outlet faucet that lets you dispense two types of purified water from one fixture: one handle for reverse osmosis (RO) water and the other for alkaline mineral water. Each handle connects to its own storage tank.

Is it lead‑free and compliant?

Yes. The 2011D is AB‑1953 compliant (lead‑free) and manufactured in the USA with CNC‑machined brass and stainless components.

Do I need a plumber to install it?

Yes—professional installation is recommended. The faucet is designed to connect to two separate tanks and should be installed by a qualified plumber for code compliance and leak‑free operation.

What hole size does it require?

It fits a standard sink/countertop ½″ shank opening. If your sink doesn’t have an available hole, your installer can add one or use an existing accessory hole.

What tubing/connection does it use?

The inlets are designed for typical ¼″ compression connections from your RO and alkaline tanks. Your installer will route two independent lines—one per handle.

Is there an air‑gap version?

Air‑gap is available where required by local plumbing code. Ask your installer which configuration suits your system and jurisdiction.

Which systems is it compatible with?

Most under‑sink RO systems and alkaline remineralization tanks that use ¼″ lines. The faucet expects two separate outputs (RO + alkaline). If you only have RO, your installer can cap the unused inlet or upgrade your system with an alkaline tank.

Can I run hot water through it?

No. Use cold, filtered lines only. Hot water can damage filtration media and faucet internals designed for purified water service.

What flow should I expect?

The faucet is tuned for a smooth, steady flow. System‑side factors (tank pressure, tubing length, inline restrictors) control actual output. The faucet accommodates typical RO service up to about 1.2 GPM when system conditions allow.

What are the dimensions?

Overall height: 12½″  •  Spout reach: 6″  •  Base diameter: 1¾″

Operating pressure & temperature?

Operating pressure: up to 125 PSI (system‑dependent).   Temperature rating: cold service; faucet components rated to typical RO conditions.

Does the spout swivel?

Yes — 360° swivel for convenient positioning over glasses, bottles, and pitchers.

Which finishes are available?

Standard finish is included. Premium finishes are available as a +$200 upgrade: Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, or Matte Black.

Can I mix finishes with my main faucet?

Yes—choose the closest match or a contrasting finish. The 2011D uses a ½″ shank opening that fits most accessory holes on sinks and counters.

How do I clean and care for it?

Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap; rinse and dry. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, and harsh chemicals that can dull the finish or degrade seals.

What’s covered under warranty?

Backed by a 1‑year manufacturer warranty on materials and workmanship. Contact support for assistance and RMA instructions.

Are tanks included?

No. Tanks are sold separately. The 2011D expects two independent tanks: one RO tank and one alkaline mineral tank.

Flow seems low — what should I check?

Confirm both tank valves are open, lines are not kinked, and any inline restrictors or check valves are oriented correctly. Check RO tank pressure (per system manual) and replace spent pre‑filters/membrane if needed.

One handle works, the other doesn’t.

Each handle is plumbed to its own source. Verify the unused side isn’t capped by mistake and that the correct line is connected to the correct inlet on the faucet.

Drip after shut‑off?

A brief residual drip can be normal as pressure equalizes. Persistent dripping may indicate debris at the valve seats—flush lines and, if needed, have your installer service the cartridges/seals.

Notes: Performance depends on upstream system design and local water quality. For code compliance (e.g., air‑gap requirements), follow your local plumbing authority and installer guidance.
