How long does the UltraStream filter last?
The internal filter is low-maintenance and designed for approximately 12 months of typical household use (actual life varies with water quality and volume).
What does the UltraStream remove?
It’s engineered to reduce chlorine, VOCs, fluoride, lead, heavy metals and many more common contaminants, while improving taste and odor.
Note: Performance depends on local water conditions; lab results are available on request.
Do I need a power outlet for benchtop or undersink models?
No power outlet is required — UltraStream is a non-electric system.
Why does the undersink UltraStream need a vented faucet?
A vented (air-gap) faucet is required to safely relieve back-pressure and protect the filter housing. Using a non-vented faucet can cause damage and void warranties.
What’s included for installation and how long does it take?
The kit includes quick-connect fittings, tubing, and adapters for most standard taps. Typical benchtop installs take about 10–20 minutes with basic tools.
How do the quick-connect fittings work?
Cut the tubing square, fully insert into the fitting until it seats, then pull back gently to lock. To release, press the collet toward the fitting and pull the tube out.
It doesn’t fit my aerator. What should I do?
We include common adapters, but some faucets need a different aerator/adaptor ring. Share a photo/thread spec with support and we’ll recommend the exact part.
Can UltraStream be fitted to my “Tap or Faucet” brand?
In most cases, yes. The diverter connects to standard M22/M24 aerators via supplied adapters; specialty faucets may need a brand-specific adapter.
Can I use UltraStream with a whole-house softener or filter?
Yes. UltraStream pairs well with whole-house systems. It’s ideal for your final drinking/cooking water point, delivering mineralized, hydrogen-rich water at the sink.
How is hydrogen generated by UltraStream?
As water passes through our proprietary media, it interacts with catalytic mineral surfaces that dissolve beneficial minerals and release molecular hydrogen (H₂) into the water.
Why is molecular hydrogen (H₂) important?
H₂ is a tiny, selective antioxidant that supports redox balance. Many people prefer hydrogen-rich water for its fresh mouthfeel and everyday wellness routines.
How much water can I run and keep hydrogen levels high?
Best results come from moderate flow (a steady stream, not wide-open). Very high flow rates reduce contact time and can lower dissolved H₂ concentration.
What pH can I expect?
UltraStream typically re-balances water to an alkaline range of about pH 8.0–9.5, depending on source water chemistry and flow rate.
How do I know when to replace the filter?
Time and taste are your guides. Plan on annual replacement for typical homes. If flow slows significantly or taste/odor returns sooner, replace earlier.
What maintenance is required?
UltraStream is essentially set-and-forget: keep the exterior clean, check connections periodically, and replace the internal filter on schedule.
