FAQs
Answers about installation, what’s included, output, and day-to-day use of the ALKA 300 commercial alkaline filtration system.
What is the ALKA 300 designed for?
ALKA 300 is built for restaurants, cafés, and other light commercial applications that want clean, great-tasting alkaline water for drinking, beverages, ice, and food prep.
What makes ALKA 300 different from basic filters?
It combines an advanced 25-stage filtration process with RO membranes and alkaline enhancement—delivering higher-quality water and noticeably better taste for coffee, tea, and cooking.
How much water can it produce?
Up to 300 gallons per day under proper pressure, temperature, and source-water conditions.
Does it require a professional installer?
Many businesses choose a plumber for speed and compliance, but any qualified installer can set it up. It’s a plumbed-in system intended for back-of-house or utility areas.
What inlet/outlet sizes are available?
The housings are available with 3/4” or 1” in/out ports.
What’s included in the box?
- (3) 2.5” x 20” high-capacity housings
- (2) 150 GPD TFC membranes
- (2) alkaline cartridges
- (2) 5-micron pre-filters + (1) carbon block
- 120V water pump
- Epoxy powder-coated brackets
- 10-gallon RO storage tank
Options available: flow control, float switch, high-pressure switch, and larger storage tanks.
What does it reduce?
The system is designed to remove or reduce a wide range of common impurities, including chlorine and various heavy metals. Actual reduction depends on your incoming water and maintenance schedule.
Why does alkaline water taste better?
Alkaline water is often described as smoother and less acidic. Many businesses notice improvements in coffee, tea, soups, smoothies, powdered drinks, and ice clarity.
Will TDS change?
Yes. RO typically lowers TDS significantly, then the alkaline stage may add back beneficial minerals, which can raise TDS slightly. This is normal.
Does pressure/temperature affect production?
Yes. Output can vary based on incoming water pressure, temperature, and source water quality. Higher demand applications may benefit from larger storage tanks and/or control options.
Where should it be installed?
Typically in a back room, under-counter area, or utility space near a cold-water line and drain connection, with access to power for the 120V pump.
Can it feed a dedicated faucet, coffee machine, or ice maker?
Yes. ALKA 300 is commonly plumbed to a dedicated dispensing faucet and/or tied into beverage and foodservice equipment. Final configuration depends on your site and installer.
Can I use it with well water?
Often yes, but well water varies widely. If sediment, iron, or hardness is high, pre-treatment may be recommended to protect filters and membranes.
How often do filters and membranes need replacement?
Replacement intervals depend on water quality and volume used. Pre-filters typically change more frequently than membranes; many operators set a routine schedule based on usage and taste/flow changes.
If you tell us your daily gallons and incoming water type (city/well), we can suggest a practical schedule.
Any startup or non-use tips?
Flush the system after installation and after extended downtime. If the unit will sit unused for long periods, follow your service guidance to protect filters and membranes.
Where is the ALKA 300 manufactured?
Manufactured in California. Built for commercial environments with durable components and high-capacity housings.
